Honors Program at Montreat College (NC). The Honors Program at Montreat College provides a Living-Learning Community designed to complement academic pursuits and to help the student flourish as a whole person. In the spirit of Hugh of Victor – To be learned, rather than to seem learned, the Honors Program fosters growth in humility as a community and as an individual. Seminars centering on texts and topics from the Christian, Western, and World traditions challenge students to think across disciplines to the underlying moral and theological principles by examining questions such as: What is the Good Life?, Who am I?, and What are the Origins of the Universe? Students are encouraged to explore the connections between the Great Conversation and the Christian scriptures and traditions from all over the world.
